Baker County Schools offer a variety of educational settings, from public to private to two-room school serving grades K-6. They also have access to college classes. Baker School District 5J schools has two grade-level Schools, grades kindergarten through 3 at Brooklyn Primary and Grades 4 through 6 at South Baker Intermediate.
Baker Middle School then brings together students from Baker City, Haines and Keating in Grades 7-8. Baker High School houses grades 9 to 12.
Baker School District has a four day school week, Monday through Thursday. School generally begins around Labor Day weekend and ends in June.
